Talisman and Amulet. What are they?

An Amulet is an object which has intrinsic power to give protection to its wearer. A Talisman is specifically made to achieve a particular purpose. How do I charge my Amulet / Talisman?

You will need the following items: - Glass of water - White candle - A few pinches of salt - Small table - White cloth - Incense - Quiet space

Make sure you are not disturbed – switch off your phone and close the curtains. Lay your white cloth over the table, placing your candle, glass of water and incense in the centre. Light both the candle and the incense and place your talisman next to them. Close your eyes and try to empty your mind.

When you are ready, take a pinch of salt and sprinkle it into the water – imagine the water being filled with golden light. Dip your talisman into the water to cleanse it of all impurities. Then, to purify it, pass it through the smoke of the incense and through the flame of the candle. Your talisman is now cleansed of all outside influences and ready to be charged to achieve your purpose.

Now, sit down and close your eyes again, holding your talisman in your dominant hand. Picture above you a sphere of brilliant white light radiating in all directions. Concentrate your energy on this sphere, feel its power and brilliance grow. Picture a shaft of white light flowing down from the sphere and slowly descending into your talisman.

Next, focus on your intention. What colour would it have? Picture the white light changing into your desired colour, surrounding the talisman. Notice your talisman getting warmer.

Your talisman is now charged. Allow yourself a few minutes to unwind and then have a drink or a bite to eat to get yourself back down to earth.
